I bought this item, labeled "Her Abstraction", for my mother for Christmas and she loved how it made her Fire look unique to her personality and taste.This skin is a decal and can be easily applied and removed. The product details state that it "Protects surface from scratches & abuse". It may prevent minor scratches, but this product should be purchased for cosmetic reasons, rather than as a protective barrier for the Kindle Fire. This particular skin comes in a matte finish. Also, because of the design of the Fire itself, this product is not a wrap-around skin. This product comes in two pieces: a top piece that borders the screen of the Fire and a back piece that covers the entire back of the Fire.
