It works great and boils 10+ gallons very easily and vigorously. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Mac Coder (Tulsa, OK USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Camco 02963 5500W 240V Screw in Water Heater Lime Life Ripple Element (Tools & Home Improvement) Upgrading the bottom element in our tank to this higher-wattage, lower watt density element has made a world of difference in hot water availability. We used to have to wait an hour between showers, now it can almost keep up in real-time. If I were buying a new tank, I would just pull and discard the junk elements that they ship with and replace them with these. Save a lot of grief and shivering. 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful By Arn (Omaha, NE) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Camco 02963 5500W 240V Screw in Water Heater Lime Life Ripple Element (Tools & Home Improvement) Probably like most of you buying this product, I was referred here by Kal's site, theelectricbrewery.com. I followed his instructions and installed this into a keggle that I use as a boil kettle in my homebrewing setup. 5500W heats my strike water very fast and I only need to maintain 50-60% on the duty cycle to keep a rolling boil. |
