This is the Amana bare icemaker replacement for modular icemakers. This is the bare icemaker ONLY. The cover and cord must be supplied by your old icemaker. The cord plugs into the back of the icemaker head. It is the same icemaker found in the 1110702A kit. Alt part # D7824701, D7824702, D7824703, D7824704, D7824705, D7824705Q, D7824706.

Great product. Cheap and easy to put in and works like a charm. Do not get excited if it waits a while before making ice. (just warming up)

This item was an exact replacement for my Kenmore side by side unit. I had to remove the lower screw completely, and loosen the two upper screws to begin to remove the unit. The tricky part was unplugging the existing wiring harness from the rear of the unit, without really being able to see what I was doing-the harness is very short. I finally got the old one out, and installed the new one. I made sure the wire bail was down, and left it in overnight. The next morning I could tell the unit had not cycled. I contacted the sellers customer service by email for suggestions. He quickly advised me to check the freezer temperature, and leave the new unit in for 24 full hours. I did check the freezer temp, and it was about 17 F. I lowered the freezer thermostat one setting, and within one hour, the unit cycled and was making ice, and has been ever since.
