I have it located on my kitchen counter and I use it almost daily. It's very attractive and I like the fact that the switch is located on the fan's cord. Also, small children cannot poke their fingers through the front or back of the fan. The fan has a nice handle in the back, so that it can be picked up and carried.I read the only review attached to this product and was surprised the buyer rated it so low. But, if I had a problem with the varied speeds, I would not be happy either. I do hope it was packed up and returned. Also,I do not think the fan is overly noisy, but my kitchen is large, therefore the sound of it running does not overwhelm the room. I am very pleased with my fan and would purchase again. I've received many compliments about the fan and folks wanting to know where I purchased it. I selected the pineapple-shaped fan because it's a symbol for "Welcome" and that's what I want everyone to...
