It's very pretty and well made; I like that it hits me at the knee (I'm 5'6) and it swings really nicely when I walk.I wouldn't classify this as a winter coat, though. The material is a blend of wool, spandex, and nylon, and it is rather thin. I wore it out in the middle of a damp, windy, forty degree autumn day, and I could feel the wind through it. Definitely something you'll want to wear sweaters under. I tried it again over a pretty thick sweater, and the spandex gave it enough stretch that it didn't hang oddly or look too lumpy, so that solves that. Also, it came with the pockets sewn together, so you'll want to take care of that when you get it. It also came with extra buttons, which I always appreciate. In summary, I'd call it more of a fall/spring coat, but it fits me well, and it's very beautiful to wear. |
