Take a recreational ride with your best friend with the Sevylor Super Caravelle two-person inflatable boat. Ideally suited for rivers and lakes, the Super Caravelle is durably constructed of 16-gauge PVC that's guaranteed not to leak. Sevylor also added its patented oval "boat-within-a-boat" DIN and tunnel safety chambers, which inflate inside the main outer chamber to keep you afloat even if the exterior gets punctured. Certified by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), the two-person Super Caravelle measures 6 feet 5 inches by 4 feet, holds up to 360 pounds, and carries a 90-day warranty.

About Sevylor
The road from Sevylor's founding in 1948 to its current role as the dominant supplier of a wide range of inflatables--such as kayaks, boats, and towables--is a long one, with plenty of original inventions and innovations along the way. Established in a city suburb of Vitry, France, by electronics engineer Berco Grimbert, Sevylor originally built electrical accessories, with a sideline business dedicated to using its high-frequency welding machines to manufacture PVC consumer goods. The first inflatable to receive rave notice was a small bathtub called the Dou Dou. Perfect for postwar France, the inflatable tub was portable, convenient, practical, easy to clean, durable, and, best of all, affordable.

After moving to the picturesque Alsatian village of Buhl, the company expanded into developing valves, pumps, boats, inflatable pools, and a variety of water toys. In the ensuing years, Sevylor first developed a PVC that had "memory"--meaning it could return to its original shape regardless of temperature--and then made history by releasing an inflatable pool mattress with a headrest and circular pockets. In 1986, the company invented the Ski Bob, a real turning point in the evolution of the towables business. Today, Sevylor's innovative designs include tenders, hunting and fishing boats, specialty boats and kayaks, towables, snow tubes, air beds, pool floats, river tubes, swim and sport rings, and more.

We bought this for our 5 and 7-year-old. We wanted something sturdy to float down streams and jump off of in Lake Michigan. It is just the thing! Great price. Nice and sturdy. Perfect size for my kids. We strap it to the top of the Subaru wagon and head to the beach everytime the sun is shining. We LOVE this thing. It keeps my kids busy for hours, and requires no batteries. LOVE. My only complaint is that the oars are sold separately. Bummer. Other than that, this thing is perfection!

5.0 out of 5 stars More than a Pool Toy, January 3, 2011

Originally intended to be a backup raft, I found it easier to stuff in a day pack with room to spare for the pump. Easy setup made it possible to fish backwoods quaries and hidden swimming holes to the envy of many shore-bound hikers/anglers overhanging limbs. The bobber adorned trees make an inflatable watercraft pay for its self pretty fast in the NC piedmont. It has plenty of separate air chambers to keep it floating if a puncture were to occur, but I bounced right off several jagged rocks and logs, with no scuffs to the vinyl.

This is a pool boat not a lake boat. I use to use a Sevylor XR56GTX and it was an awesome boat I could easily get three fishing seasons out of one boat. Then Coleman bought Sevylor and discontinued the XR56 and this was their version of an equal boat. I purchased it this spring and just threw it away in the garbage where it belongs. first trip two holes, second trip three more holes. the sides are so low you get water into the boat all the time, I was so disappointed. This boat is Chinese junk.
