Lightweight to hang. I like the integrated ballast because I just didn't want to mess with electrical components. Its very bright when it gets warmed up. It works great for a small area, or just one orchid or two. Its recommended for 2 sqft, so as long as you have a space that size its very effective. Some of my leaves got sunburned because they were not used to the HID light, so I recommend hanging light about 3 ft away then adjusting as time goes on. My only problem with this light is that Im already looking to upgrade, turns out I need 8 sqft.
